ataraxion | 002: [ video ]

[ Kara's been laying low since the jump, popping up here and there on the network when it seemed right. But for the most part, she has been sitting in her room attempting to make sense out of all that had happened to her.

So when she finally does appear via the video feed, she is looking more tired then anything, as the lack of sleep has slowly been taking its toll on her.

A small hum in thought and she is asking to anyone listening. ]

Has anyone noticed any changes since the last jump?

[ It's a vague question - one that has her sounding and looking more uncharacteristically curious as well. Obviously though, she isn't about to announce that she is suddenly filled with a handful of new memories since the last jump. (they could just be odd dreams now, right?) Instead she would rather feel everyone out instead – curious to see, if she happens to be one of the only ones that has had this happen. (obviously she isn’t aware of the demons yet, or there would be some form of inquiry on that as well.)

Her brow furrows then, quickly adding for some form of clarification: ]

Basically does anything seem off to you?

ooc: basically kara has been canon updated and is just confused as to what the frak is going on.
but feel free to use this post as a way to perhaps bring up all the other changes that seem to be going on with the ship as well.
(pretty much lets slowly start getting people more paranoid )

What kind of changes? The kind of changes where certain people aboard this ship stop being prejudiced? That kind?

[ Oh gods it's you. She can't help but let a small snort of annoyance out at this. ]

Now that you mention it... yeah. Yeah, a few things. [ It hadn't really occurred to him that any of these things were anything outside of his own mind, though. Now, he's not so sure. ] You go first, though.

No more so than usual. What have you noticed in particular?

[ A brow arched at that, flashing a small smirk as she shook her head in response. ] As odd as that sounds - no - no that isn't all that new.

People tend to be a bit special here. [ Which means she thinks a good handful of them are completely off their rockers. ]

Doesn't make this place all that welcoming I guess. [ a beat ] Really more looking to know if people have noticed changes in people.

[ A brow arched slightly as she found herself leaning slightly into the screen, as if doing this was more a way for her to feel like she was talking in private. ]

Memories and such - like you were somewhere else - yet you seem to still be here? [ a beat and she is adding with a slightly confusion to her tone. ] I don't get why I seem to be having them.

[ She doesn't sound all to pleased then - more annoyed then anything by it actually. And she can't help but let that annoyance show in the expression on her face.

[ A brow arched at that, giving the woman a small nod. ]

Not much myself. More just a feeling I guess. You ever heard of the jump effecting people more then the norm?

Changes jump to jump - people coming suddenly filled with memories they didn't have before the jump - things like that.

[ Why the frak is she so willing to tell this to you, Blaine? :/ ]

I'm fine - just tired.

[ A shrug of her shoulder and she makes a small face at her thoughts. ]

You haven't heard anyone talking about anything of interest though have you?

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary with new arrivals or indeed, anyone I know. Suppose it's possible that people can be affected in different ways.

Well, there's all the stuff about possession.

That or he's making fun of Topher's inability to woo. It's a toss-up.]

[He raises an eyebrow.]

Changes like them getting saner? [Which is tinged bitterly, but then there's a touch of wariness to her expression.] Or worse?

[ There is a snort of amusement that escapes her then, finding humor in what the other woman was saying. ] Depends on the person I would guess. Some could use a bit more brains put into them.

But nah - not sure what it is exactly. Things just are different this jump - more then the last time.

It would be interesting to see just how the jumps seem to effect each of us - aside for the obvious common symptoms.

Think the doctors would have any idea?

[ That got a quick look and shrug of a shoulder, before she was plainly stating: ]

Anything's possible. Not that I believe any of it yet. But you never know with the people on the ship.

One minute they could be fine - then the next, they are snapping your neck.

Just watch out is all.

The doctors are the ones with the medical notes so they would have a good idea about that. However, they wouldn't be allowed to share personal details like that because of patient confidentiality.
