The Tranquility is a big ship and it's a lot to take in, but if anybody would like to learn the ropes or get shown around the place, I'd be more than happy to give some people the grand tour. Can I accept a truck ride even if I'm not new? I still feel like I get lost sometimes.

I can help wherever people need it. I mean, I already put in some time in Engineering, and I don't really know anything about Medicine but I could help with anything else?

Of course, offer is open to one and all. Plus I might've recently made a few "modifications" to one of the trucks that I want to try out sometime.

That was very well-done, sir. And I commend you and those who have spent so much time gathering this information together. I have been here nearly a year and have only to date seen a fraction of it.

However, a good deal of it seems out of date. With your permission, may I assist in updating it to the current state of things? I believe it to be a worthy endeavour to archive the previous information, of course.

But also to remain current so we have an accurate picture of our circumstances.

The kind that hovers? Not sure how fast it can go yet. The hallways aren't always great for speed racing. [Too many damn twists and turns.]

Er, yeah, I kinda... noticed that, too. To be completely honest with you, I'm still workin' the kinks out myself and haven't had the chance to update it all yet, but I wouldn't turn down the help.

It's old, but we can fix that.

Wait, seriously? [Scoff.] And here I thought we were workin' with a real skeleton crew.

Of course I know HOW it works - I've been dealing with these things for over two years now, not to mention I used to fix cars for a living. I just can't tell you the specifics, like where it was built or with what technology. They just came with the package when we got here.

Operations Department - along with Gunnery, Communications, Flight, and Engineering.

I can gather what the other departments are responsible for, but what does support staff do aside from info-drop after the jumps?

Well, the job description was ALWAYS pretty vague. Basically we help out with miscellany tasks that don't apply to the other departments, like stocking, offering aid... Think of it as something for the jack of all trades, masters of none types.

There was also some talk recently about expanding our field to accommodate newcomers, but that's in the works.
