I hope you're not having too much trouble with the temperature and all of that. It's been a little strange for a while, hasn't it? I don't like it any more than anyone, but making the best of it is the only way to do things. We will persevere!

Now. Ignoring everything that is, overall, serious and pressing, I have a question. A survey, if you will. It was recommended to me that I... Let's try to put this delicately so I don't upset anyone... That I might be interested in certain activities of an intimate nature. Where I come from, my people usually reserved that for relationships, and procreation. However, you all may have different outlooks. Would you mind sharing your opinions? I promise I won't tell a soul. I'm primarily curious about the incidence of one-night stands versus those of you who are in committed relationships. While this is a very private matter, this is for the purposes of research. Think of it like an exchange program. I wasn't human, after all.

This isn't something you should just ask people. It's sort of a personal thing. Most people prefer to keep it private.

An interesting topic, yes, but one that tends to have some people baulk. I don't believe I've seen it asked in my time here.

What type of opinion are you looking for? Personal, or perception of others?

It's a biological imperative. Elephants, dolphins, and humans are the few species that derive pleasure from it.

That's why I'm asking for opinions. I'm sure it feels wonderful--so I've been told, so I'll believe--but I want to grasp more fully a wider range of opinions on the situations people find themselves in with regard to it.

Personal, mostly. Perception of others is just thinly veiled judgment, and I can do that readily enough on my own.

Some folk go in for it no strings attached. Nothing wrong with that, of course. But I think it's a lot more fun with someone you really know well. Anyone who says married sex is boring is doing it wrong.

A one night stand can be just what one needs but others like relationships. I think it depends on the individual.

Passing interest! I don't plan on sleeping with anyone. I'd much rather have a deep and meaningful intellectually based relationship. Maybe hold hands, of course, and a kiss from time to time...
