[The young woman's face that appears on screen doesn't look nearly as exhausted as it probably should. Her voice, however, is as weary as she's pretty sure everyone is feeling.]

So I'm curious. Does anyone out there know the side effects of not getting any sleep? [She pauses to consider something.] Or maybe how long they'll take to start showing up? [Another pause.] I just think that might be some useful information for people in general to have and, well, like I said. I'm curious.

[For the record, Claire hasn't been sleeping pretty much at all. However her ability is working overtime to keep circles from appearing under her eyes as well as countering the other, less pleasant, side effects that come with not getting enough rest. There's still the random, occasional bleeding that she can't explain but that's neither here nor there, right?]

Well, I'm trapped on a spaceship that's trying to murder everyone, and kidnaps people at random, including fictional ones. So, there's that. But... [She gives a slight shrug.] it could be worse.

[A pause before she snorts softly and shakes her head.]

I do need to get used to people being here from different times, though. It hasn't been that long since I saw you, for me. [She's not counting the situation with the carnival at Central Park since they didn't exactly talk during all of that. Which means the last time they really hung out had been not long after they both learned what happened to Nathan.

The thought makes her shift a little and her smile is replaced with a slightly concerned semi-frown.] How about you? How are you doing?

Me? [ His eyes go a bit wider, eyebrows lifting, because he's gotten kind of utter shit at talking about himself. Especially when it requires explanation about things he doesn't understand along with a long suffering feeling about... everything Adam. ]

Been better.

[ He offers up a half-hearted grin like the response is supposed to be funny because both of them've 'been better' ever since they met. But Peter's fairly sure it's an adequate response when she's not allowed to worry about him. ]

And y'know, you'd probably feel better about the time thing if you'd ever gotten the chance to time travel. [ ... teasing. sort of. ] Actually still trying to get used to that one, too.

[It isn't until Peter is talking that Claire realizes she should probably figure out what he remembers from back home before she says too much. Now isn't the time to tell him certain things, if he doesn't already know about them. Later, maybe, but not when they both haven't slept and aren't even standing face to face.

So she just gives him a smile. It's small but sincere and holds the same adoration she's felt for Peter since the moment he saved her back when she was still in high school.]

I've time traveled. [Had she ever told him that? She can't remember.She keeps her tone light, just in case. He worries enough. She doesn't need him worrying about ridiculous things she's already done.] I was pretty awful at it, according to Hiro.

[A pause.]

So. No sleeping and stuck on a spaceship. Is it wrong that I almost miss the crazy from back home?

You have?

[ The confusion is immediate, but after a few seconds, Peter's worries back off, his mind attempting to tumble over itself to keep up. It's not as if he has a clear cut idea of what's happened since he let himself be put into captivity, and the idea of knowing everything that Claire's been up to is kind of absurd.

It's not like he asked Nathan to fill him in, and for all intensive purposes, Nathan has seemed to do everything in his power to avoid the conversation. ]

Pretty sure it isn't crazy to want to go back home when we don't have spaceships to put up with. But- Claire, you actually time traveled? [ Peter was no expert at jumping from topic to topic, but he couldn't stop himself from asking. He was desperate to make some things make sense. And Claire time traveling? Didn't really make any sense. ]

You?

[Claire's brow furrows slightly. Why this is something that's so shocking for Peter, she doesn't know. She does know, though, that telling him why she traveled in time without first making sure he's aware of the events that led up to that decision is not something she should do.

So instead of speaking right away, she simply nods and tries to figure out the best way to broach the subject. Finally she opts for the most direct route if only because she has the utmost faith that Peter isn't going to lie to her. Practically everyone else she knows might, but not Peter.]

Okay, I have to ask. What's the last thing you remember from back home?

[ It's only shocking because she failed to mention the fact that she time-traveled along with Hiro, but that's really neither here nor there. At least not for the time being. Because Claire's question is honestly... fairly easy. There's no reason to lie about it or skim over the facts, or try to evade the whole thing.

Even if it's a hell of a lot more confusing than the initial answer. ]

Nathan was about to give a conference- he was going to tell everyone about Specials. After the virus was almost released? [ A question because Peter can't expect to know what she knows. And since Peter's not to keen to talk about Adam, nor does he know if she knows about Adam.... he doesn't bright that part up. But he'll carry on with the worst of it. ]

Apparently that's not the last thing I should remember, though. [ he sighs because really, this still makes him feel grumpily miserable. ] Nathan says i've been here for longer than I remember. Everything that was in my locker when I first showed up? Was nothing i'd ever seen before. But all I remember was the Nathan getting ready for the press, seeing him again.

Yeaaaah. That's not going to go so great.

[The words are spoken before Claire realizes what she's saying. Instantly she freezes, then closes her eyes for a second and sighs. Re-opening her eyes, she gives him a small, sad sort of smile.]

Sorry. I shouldn't say anything. That's just been... a while ago, for me. [More like what feels like another lifetime ago, really, but she isn't about to say that. Nope, back to focusing on the crazy currently in their lives, not the crazy they left behind.]

So this place did what, exactly? Messed with your memories? [A pause.] I'm not the only one who is freaked out that something could do that to you, right? I mean, I'm pretty sure not even René would try to do that.
