[The young woman's face that appears on screen doesn't look nearly as exhausted as it probably should. Her voice, however, is as weary as she's pretty sure everyone is feeling.]

So I'm curious. Does anyone out there know the side effects of not getting any sleep? [She pauses to consider something.] Or maybe how long they'll take to start showing up? [Another pause.] I just think that might be some useful information for people in general to have and, well, like I said. I'm curious.

[For the record, Claire hasn't been sleeping pretty much at all. However her ability is working overtime to keep circles from appearing under her eyes as well as countering the other, less pleasant, side effects that come with not getting enough rest. There's still the random, occasional bleeding that she can't explain but that's neither here nor there, right?]

I forgot you hadn't met her. Hey, Izz.

[ The head of a black labrador suddenly bursts into the video between Nathan and the camera. Nathan rewards her with a dog treat from his pocket. ] Good girl.

She's Peter's really. Was, when Pete was back in high school. The ship brought her back to life.

[Claire's eyes widen slightly then she starts smiling. At his explanation, though, her smile freezes a bit and she gives a shaky sounding laugh.]

The family dog that the ship brought back to life. Right. Of course. That makes... about as much sense as anything else, here.

[Another pause and she manages to compose herself.]

She looks really sweet, though.

[cargojet]

Didn't believe it when she showed up, either.

[ He smiles. ]

She's gorgeous, though. A real sweetheart. Greedy as hell but boundless energy.

[indestructigirl]

[It's nice to see him smile. He should do it more often. Claire's smile brightens a little.]

I'll have to meet her sometime.

[A pause.]

So if this whole not sleeping thing is just another thing the ship's doing to all of us, is there any time table on how long it might last? I mean, it can't go indefinitely, right?

I'd love to be able to tell you, but if anyone gives you a time limit on it, I'm afraid you should take it with a pinch of salt. Could be permanent, but I don't know about you--sooner or later, I'm gonna sleep through just about anything.

She takes two walks a day. More than that at the moment. Maybe you can come along some time.

That's what I'm worried about, a little. That I won't just sleep through anything. That I won't get to that point. But I guess we'll just see. [A smile.] And I'd love to come along on a walk with you guys sometime.
