Most people want to go home. That's different. This ship is the only way people have gone home -- just vanishing right out of their gravity couches during the jumps.

Home isn't out there unless you're going to make one. And if people want to do that, I'd let them -- but not with the shuttles people here might need to survive. If we get that close to a space station, we should be stopping to resupply anyway, and they can leave. I know I've considered it.
