i guess i have a fear of leatherface, then.

[ He can't say that sometimes, under the right light, the mask looks eerily like the disfigured face of his own father as he saw him in the nightmare world. He's the only one who could have possibly recognized the stalking figure in the basement; the kanima had left distinct wounds all over Mr. Lahey's body, and Isaac still remembers each one.

But his dad is dead. Nearly everyone who matters is either dead or gone, at least back home, and he's just a young son rebuilding a house from the pieces left in ruin.

This is why he doesn't have much hesitation to answer questions — all of his secrets are worn into his skin. There's no way to lie around that without forgetting who died to keep those truths alive. ]


couldn't these things have come with a manual or some shit, really.
