Is this thing on? [There's the sound of fumbling as she gets used to the new device. It's different from an ECHO recorder, but similar enough that she figured out the audio functions on it.]

Where the hell am I? Better question - why the hell am I here? And the tattoo? Real original. I already have plenty of those, I didn't need you to add another one, thanks. [Her voice is full of sarcasm and there's more sounds of fumbling as she further examines the comm unit.]

Is there a point to all of this or am I just here for someone's sick entertainment? Please, tell me, or else I might forget to start dancing.

[Well hey now that's a familiar voice.]

...Lilith? What the hell, they got you too?

Mordecai? Wait, hold on a second. [She could see him, but she was pretty sure he couldn't see her. She messed with the device some more until she got it to transmit images.]

Didn't expect to see you here.

You're tellin' me. I didn't expect to be here. You okay?

I could be worse. At least they didn't shove any tentacles at me. [And she realizes how wrong that could be taken after she says it, but she's just going to let that comment sit there. At least he knows what she's talking about.]

... Yeah.

[Uh huh. Just going to let that sit there, indeed.]

So, uh, what number did you get?

[She shows him her arm to make it easier; the numbers reading 012 and 187.]

158, just down the hall. You find your room already?

[She shook her head.] I haven't made it past the lockers yet.

Yeah, figures. Well, stop by when you come on up the lift and I'll fill you in on some stuff.

That's my next step. [She began to head towards the lift and kept her communicator in front of her.] So you're in your room?

Yeah. Trying to read up on as much as possible. There's a lot that's gone on here. I figured, I've got time, I might as well be informed about the place.

There's a reason you were our eyes and ears. [She's on the blue lift now, as she had been instructed to go moments before she decided to play with her device instead.]

Someone's gotta do it. Reading stuff on a screen isn't nearly as interesting as doing the footwork, but it's necessary.

I don't mind benefiting from it. [Once the lift stopped, she began walking through the ship, looking for the right room number.]

Yeah, I know you don't.

[It doesn't take her long to find his room, of course, and he opens the door for her when he hears her knock.]

Hey, c'mon in.

[He smiles as he lets her in. The bloodwing is laying down on one of the beds, legs and wings sprawled out awkwardly, though it sits up when it senses movement and flaps awkwardly a few times.]

Nice place you've got here. [Except it wasn't, though it was better than what they had in Sanctuary. Mostly cleaner, but with a lot less personality.]

They brought him too? [She asked and motioned to the bird.]

Yeah. Good thing, I guess. He wouldn't really be able to fend for himself back in Sanctuary. [And then he would constantly be worrying all the time forever.]

So I know you haven't really had time to look around at much, but thankfully someone keeps an updated list of stuff to know about this place. Apparently we're traveling through the Andromeda galaxy, though nobody knows why or where we're going, and only two of the original crew are here, and they don't like talking about that kind of stuff. Everyone else just gets dragged here from all over the place, like you and me.

At least you're honest, kid. Just who's entertainment is it for?

Andromeda galaxy? [The name sounded familiar, but it wasn't any of the ones close to Pandora.] Does it say how they're able to do that? Or why?

[He sits back down on the bed by his bird, and shakes his head as he scrolls through the text on the comm screen.]

Ward and Resnik - they're the two in charge - either they don't know, or they won't tell. Might not be a bad idea to go have a chat with either one of them, though I gather they're not much for conversation.

If there is a point, it's not yet known to us, but I can only imagine the being called Smiley takes pleasure in our captivity.
