I believe when I come from (as opposed to "where", which is your own universe), he is no longer in mortal danger.
That's certainly not among the easiest ways to gain one's trust. I still count him among the most dangerous here. And since our plan at home remains to kill him as soon as we can, I'm not about to let myself off my guard easily.
