So... space, huh? [ neal adjusts his cuffs-- he's wearing a suit (a real suit: classic, 50's style devore, for any suit buffs) because fuck that jumpsuit crap right in the ear-- fussily, smile dropping wattage just a tiny bit. ] Does anyone want to catch me up a little more on that, out of curiosity? Because I have to admit, other than the bits and pieces I caught wandering around the first day I have no idea what's going on.

Anyway, come on. Help a new guy out, anybody? [ smile ratcheting up another few notches. aaaaaand HOLY CHARM BATMAN. doesn't everyone watching just want to drop everything and help? (yes. your answer is yes.) ] I'll owe you one.

[oh. well. here's a girl who can look like anyone in the whole goddamn world (galaxy? can she say galaxy now that she's been to space?), and she still is completely smitten on the smile that shines up from her screen. um, the face. the man on the screen, right.]

Depends on what you're interested in knowing? I don't think anyone knows the big picture just yet - the why and how - but there are lots of little rules or whatever you wanna call it on the ship. There are a few sections that are off limits, full on lock-down kinda thing. And you mostly have to travel around by the lifts? Which... don't bring food on those, it's a guaranteed mess no matter what. [grins!] As you can see, I'm a wealth of knowledge here, so. Ask away.

[Raven notices the shift, and she has half a mind to warn him that that wasn't a challenge, that the two crew members on board tend to get all weird and and :| and just find you when you wander, but. Eh, he can figure it out. She's the last person to try and talk somebody out of something fun.]

I'm Raven. Or zero-seven-four. [She glances down at her wrist then, tilting her head a bit.] Not that anyone calls each other by their numbers. And I'm not sure if the numbers are a tracking system or anything, they seem to be given out at random. Mm, but oh, tracking. These communicator things are like a digital map, too. Kinda. [cries the 60s are hard, no GPS yet.] It doesn't show you where you are exactly, just how to get back to where you should be. ... Which sounds really confusing but I've gotten lost before, so.

Neal. Or... [ he looks down at his own wrist. ] One-two-five. Not a bad number, I guess.

Not bad at all. I've heard worse. Like zero-three-one. [she scrunches her nose, so awful] But yeah, this place isn't so bad. Pretty normal actually, if you don't think of it as a spaceship. Which isn't too hard for me, considering we've only just managed to land on the moon where I'm from. And it's not like we seem to have a destination in mind.

[ this is the beginning of a rad bromance, clearly. ]

Poor soul. Zero-three-one, really? [ he's teasing a little, but it's gentle. ] ...Wait, wait. Where are you from?

[ he whistles at that. he knows exactly the kind of money that resides in westchester, okay. ] Manhattan, myself. Definitely not 1962. In fact, last time I checked it was 2011.

[She alllllmost says something about it being old money, and not even her family's old money, technically, but- Well, let him be impressed.]

You're from the future? Groovy. [!!!!! Wait. Suddenly very serious. But trying not to be.] --And, ah. So did World War III ever happen? You know, after the whole Cuban Missile Crisis.

'Groovy'. [ BUT HE'S NOT MAKING FUN OF YOU, RAVEN. that's just really cute, okay? ] Unless your history is different than mine, no World War III. Korea and Vietnam, yes, but not another world war.

-- what? Do people not say groovy anymore? [she's blushing anyway baaah, also because she's the most relieved ever.] Good! That's fantastic! Not-- Not about Vietnam and Korea, but the lack of World Wars. Wow.

You could always bring it back. [ oh my god raven be cuter. seriously. ] Right on the cusp of history, huh?

-- But, so. So what about mutant integration? I mean, after that it must have happened, right? I bet it's not even a big deal anymore, by 2011. Wow, fifty years. Does everyone just know?
