[ The camera flickers on. He figures the best way to prove how dire this is - is to show it. He is in the hallway of the living quarters. Charles is kneeling down to the ground, and is beside someone. ]

I could use some assistance.

[ The camera shifts to a girl next to him, down on the ground in the hallway. She definitely doesn't look well. She is drifting in and out consciousness. ]

I need help getting her to the medical ward as quickly as possible. [ He moves one finger to her wrist, to both examine the tattoo and feel for a heartbeat. It confirms his suspicions that she is in fact new. He leaves his fingers there, so he can make sure she continues on...]

The closer you are to the tenth floor the better.

[ ooc: whoever helps, we can hop right into action! the girl with him is katniss. ]

[She watches with a stern face before she clicks on the feed.]

I'm coming now. Give me a few minutes, I'm bringing a kit.

[ He remembers you! ]

Thank you, Doctor.

[ Perfect. ]

[Maybe he should have called her then. :|

She gives him a nod before shutting the feed off. Moving around the medbay, she grabs what she may need and then is making a run for the tenth floor.]

[ Hey, for all he knew you weren't anywhere nearby 8|. He wanted to...make sure someone close came quickly. He's sitting by now next to her, checking her pulse and making sure she's breathing. He will be so relieved when he sees Claire. ]

[She arrives not long after, bent at her side immediately.]

Tell me everything. [She would offer a greeting, Charles was interesting, but there may be a dead girl on the ground. That changes things.]

[This is Haymitch. This is Haymitch getting increasingly annoyed that he wasn't there when Katniss turned up, but hiding it well. How the hell did she slip by him? And what happened to her?

Well, she's in the doctor's hands now. He can deal with that after the fact. For now...]

I'd be careful with that one. She bites.

Does she yet live?

I may be able to offer my humble abilities to stabilize her.

[ooc: And considering this is Loki...y'all can feel free to turn him down.]

She would have a hard time biting me while unconscious.

[ Charles is...unphased by this thought. He's used to those types. ]

She is alive right now. A doctor came. Can I keep you in mind if we should need it?

[ Because he won't turn down help. ]

She'll wake up sometime. [There's enough of a steady up-and-down motion on the video feed to tell that he's taking strides towards the medbay.] You don't know what happened?

Can I do anything? I mean- [ is she me? isn't what she wants to ask, but. in a way it would be easier to handle if she was another Raven Darkholme. but. mostly because if that were the case, she might be able to help. ]

I'll be in my room, come by any time. Whenever you can. [ once she's okay ]

[ she's vaguely aware of that she's collapsed -- she didn't make it back to her room, and even if she kept denying that she felt worse, she wasn't about to ask for any help. not here. not from strangers, not from people she didn't trust one bit and not when clenching her teeth and breathing through it worked just fine ... up until it didn't. she also knows, by now, that she isn't alone; she sees everything in hazy flashes, picks up a word here and there of conversation when she struggles to stay awake yet fails, but there's the pressure of someone's fingers on her forearm, making sure she's alive, that her heart is beating.

she thinks wesley, the man she owes for helping her once before, because that's his face, those are his eyes, blue as seawater, but it's not his voice. she doesn't think too much of it, though, because every train of thought is derailed by unconsciousness or spoken words, movement that requires her currently very limited focus -- there's a woman present, as well, but the sound of her voice fades into nothing as katniss passes out again. ]

I'm not a doctor. Unfortunately, my knowledge is limited.

[ He will find out if he needs to, but right now it isn't necessary. ]

She appears to have tried to leave her room and this had happened.

[ He's still sitting beside her, because he wants to make sure she's okay, and he can always help move her if he needs to. He's afraid he'll make it worse by doing anything. He focuses on Claire for a moment. ]

I sometimes check through the halls when we have a jump. She was on the ground when I arrived. My knowledge is limited, unfortunately. As soon as I knew she was alive, I called.

She needed a doctor. [ He can only do so much, and he feels better knowing a professional was going to do what they could to help her. He knows what it is like to look right at the face of someone who looks like you in so many ways. He's already figured out she's not Raven, though. ]

It will be soon. After I make sure everything is settled - if that is alright.

[She doesn't ignore what he says, simply taking her vitals and then assessing the situation. It's best not to move her, and so she doesn't. She's human or very closely related, still alive.

After a moment she looks up.]

I'm going to need to opperate. There is extensive internal damage. I take it you do not know her from home?

Is she all right? Has she received attention - is there any word?

what happened?

[twenty minutes. that's all he'd wanted. twenty minutes to get down to his locker and bring back the wax. but no, she had to go and try to wander off alone. brilliant.]

I'm gonna kick her fucking ass.
