[Jesse's set up the communicator so it gives a static view of the scene. They're in Jane's room - the one she hasn't been living in - and it's been cleared to make room for one big art project of some kind. There are cardboard storage boxes everywhere, all cut up into various shapes and painted to resemble adorable child-sized robots. Jane and Lisbeth are in the background there, still working on a few pieces.]

Oh my god, you guys, you would not believe... We've got all this amazing robot armor, but it turns out we made it all too little. So what we were thinking is, if you're small enough to fit into this stuff, let us know right now? And just tell us your tattoo number, yo, and we can drop off some kickass robot armor at your room. How's that sound?

And hey - Grown-ups, don't try to steal any from the kids. It's too awesome for you, so. You know. Chill, okay?

And if any grown ups do try to make off with it, well, that's why we gave the robots clamps.

[And lo, the clamps are gestured with. Necessary Futurama reference made, Jane laughs and sets down the chomper before she sits back on her heels with satisfaction.]

This has to be the best idea the Love Boat has ever had. A horde of tiny cardboard mechas.

[Edgeworth blinks - and then, in a rare event, has to actually choke down a bit of a laugh. The smile is still very, very faintly audible in his voice when he speaks.]

A cunning plan.

I got no idea what you're talking about. I just got way too many robots here is all.

[Jesse grins and maybe blushes a little at the compliment, grabbing the nearest robot arm to wave around while he waits.]

Naturally I meant that your robotic plans were positively cunning. Never have I seen more fearsome-looking robots.

[You know who is getting paint on his nose?

You are, Mr. Jackson.]

Aliens beware, yo! All these robots need is some pilots and all our defense issues are resolved.

Most certainly. Do any come equipped with lasers?

Absolutely. Our development team would never leave out lasers.

Good. And there's adequate safety equipment?

Of course. All tested for speeds up to a blazing five miles an hour.

Good. I hope there will be training on use of the armor.

Oh yeah. Not to mention weekly drills. Maybe daily.

[There is a sound only teenage girls and small dogs can produce, followed by helpless laughter.]

Those are the best freaking robots!

Good. It is a position of high honor; we should not wish for it to go to someone not highly trained.

No, see, that is--that is actually where you'd be wrong. I know robots. That's not a robot. That's just ridiculous.
