My personal preference when dealing with a crime scene is to naturally cordon off the area with a perimeter of at least ten meters of distance from each individual piece of physical evidence, to be expanded if more evidence is to be uncovered, with the entire space divided into squares of approximately one foot by one foot. I prefer to work with a minimum of at least two investigators besides myself, with each searching after the other for physical evidence first, chemical evidence second...
