Our time is short, so I'll be brief.

Over the past few years, I've managed to amass a rather... non-Alderaanian collection of weapons. Far more than I could ever use myself, but I suspect we may need such things in the near future. The blasters are probably the most useful, but I also have a... slightly absurd number of lightsabers if anyone can use those.

I'll leave one of the blasters in the department so we have somethin available at all times.

We've got it. It'll be helpful to have more resources that aren't necessarily lethal.

It'd probably be better to keep the sabers away from the department for now. Lack of experience, a confined area, sensitive equipment... it seems like a recipe for disaster. How many people with sword training are left?

[The last question is rhetorical; he doesn't think there seem to be anywhere near as many as there used to be. It might have been interesting to see Robb Stark handle a futuristic weapon, but he might have preferred to rely on a familiar one. Hard to say, now.]

There's always something to be said for having a stun setting available.

I don't think there are more than a handful left. I don't intend to lend them out to anyone unfamiliar with bladework. For the sake of their limbs.

There have been a lot of Jedi here over the years. I'm the only one left from our world so most of their belongings have found their way to me.

They are. We've made far better use of such technological advancements, but our weapons can do many new things.

So I've only begun to learn. Things I could only dream of seem rather commonplace these days.

Tell me, do these lightsabers require any more than familiarity with a blade?

That's all they require to use. They're... part of an older tradition.

[That is not entirely lost. It'll come back. Jaina's lightsaber was proof of that.]

They're like swords. Traditionally they're Jedi weapons, but there's no reason anyone trained in swordfighting couldn't use one.
