[ sulu's fresh out of the shower, hair sticking up in damp spikes. he's not wearing his command gold, just the black undershirt and pants, sitting by his locker. he holds up a toy car, a quiet smile on his face, amused and a little wistful. ]

You know, these are antiques. Or they were antiques, where I'm from.

[ nostalgia. sulu hesitates a little, flipping the car in his fingers. ]

Of all the things for me to get, it's these. You'd think I'd get...

[ there's a pause, like sulu's thinking better of what he was going to say. then he shrugs a little. ]

Just a weird souvernir, I think.

I fixed a shuttle a few days ago. That was an up.

Over a course of a few days, that was the best "up" you could come up with?

[A thoughtful look here, which means she's plotting devious things.]

I like to think theres reward in diligence.

Oh sure, sure, I won't disagree with that.

But that doesn't mean you can't have some fun, even in creepy space hell.

Depends on your definition of fun.

Not working all day. Work can be fun but fun is not equal to work.

Flying. But there's not really enough fuel on board for joy riding.

[She ponders that one thoughtfully for a moment before grimacing slightly.]

Hm, I can't help you with that one. [and she's not really surprised by that answer when she thinks about it]

It might be time to start checking into another hobby.

Admittedly my list of hobbies has been cut down substantially by our location as well, unless you're interested in yoga.

I'll have to think about it--you should too though. All work and no play and all of that jazz.

[leaps]

I could try yoga.

[executiveassistant]

Really.

[Despite the slightly disbelieving tone, she's absolutely delighted.]

Then you're more open-minded than most I bring the idea to.

I try to stay flexible. I do a lot of acrobatics.
