un, video
[It has been some time since he properly arrived. He has taken the time to get somewhat settled, to find his clothes and try and recover from his last memories of home. In that time, he has figured out the comms -- at the very least, the voice and video functions, and so there is little fumbling once he flicks on the switch. (He thinks, for a moment, of Combeferre -- he would have loved all this place had to offer.)
The young man looks -- tired, overall, though clean and reasonably clean-shaven. There is a spark of fire in his eyes, though at the moment it is understandably dampened. When he finally speaks, it is obvious he is expecting answers, voice curt and given to speaking orders --but he is certainly not a military man and his voice is tinged with a soft French accent.]
Information would be appreciated. I would care to know if my friends are here. They would be about my age, no more than ten of them, speaking of Les Amis de l'ABC. They are called Courfeyrac, perhaps Combeferre or Grantaire. Does anyone aboard this ship have news of them?

video;
There's something distinctly unfair about this.
Anyway, I'm sure you've gotten plenty of responses about your friends, so I'll ask if there's anything else you're curious about, monsieur.
Re: video;
In any case, he is not accustomed to conversing with ladies all that much, but he hasn't failed miserably yet. So let's hope he continues in this vein.]
I have, and I have in fact found one of them. I -- am simply trying to settle in, for the most part, mademoiselle, you do not need to concern yourself with me.
video;
but yes good. she'll be nicer than usual, because someone came straight out of a musical/book and into her life.]
Consider me not particularly concerned.
[that is honest. sorry, she's pragmatic at best.]
I didn't offer out of politeness, though. Discussing the situation we're in isn't a waste of time, in my experience.
video;
I do not know what to make of it. It is ....certainly not what I was expecting, after the barricades. [He doesn't know what he was expecting, really. Perhaps the afterlife? Perhaps nothing? He never said he was a good Catholic.]
video;
So hey, she can feign interest with the best of them.]
The barricades? Sounds like things were a bit rough even before you got here.
video;
But at least she's gotten him on a subject he likes, anyway.]
My friends and I were fighting for the Republic, mademoiselle.
video;
every attractive frenchman needs some. but wow okay enthusiasm. that worked, she can work with this. if her history doesn't fail her.]
A noble cause. You didn't happen to get to see the...end of said battle at the barricade?
[just how much ptsd do you have--]
video;
I did. It was not pleasant.
video;
.............ouch. She purses her lips, humming lightly in an effort to not seem bothered.]
Sounds unpleasant. Well, I can't offer you information on your friends, and I can't help out with the barricades.
But being useless doesn't suit me well [she wrinkles her nose at the thought] so maybe I'll fall into the habit there seems to be here of offering alcohol.
video;
video;
Seems like you could use it, with all of that going on. Out of the goodness of my heart.
[and her love for. les mis.]
video;
video;
I don't suppose you're in your room?
video;
video;
How does that sound, monsieur?
video;
Very well.
video > action?
though she's happy to do that, heels click-clicking with her confident stride as she makes her way right over to that room.
But no really, stalker-numbers. But in brighter news, she knows where everyone lives now. If that can be considered brighter. Knock knock knock?]
action!
Mademoiselle.

she is smiling, amused.]
Hi.
Shall we? I figure I can fill you in on the lesser known details while we go, and then we can see if space alcohol is still terrible. Haven't tried the wine yet.
no subject
I -- yes, let us go.

Considering.]
There's no need to be so nervous--I won't bite.
no subject
I am not nervous, simply -- unused to this sort of thing.

[okay she'll put it off for the poor guy's sake. But she's just. Going to wave a hand at the two of them and then the ship itself.]
Space hell? Drinks? Women?

Well, we're widening your experiences then. It'll be for the better.
