Everybody is going to the gardens. It's...it's better if everybody stays together.

I can- Bring you things, and then I can go and check the hallways, and that means none of you have to be anywhere near me so I can't- So you're safer.

[there's a long bout of silence here as he stares off at something in the distance. he's making sure that the rooms closest to him are empty.]

Uh- [okay. focus.] Takeshi? If- If you can hear this, remember...what I told you. Remember you can call me if you need to. I'm listening specially.

[and with that done, he's off to move a pair of mattresses. look, he wants those two to have somewhere comfortable to rest :|]

Why's everything acting funny?

I- I'm not sure. Jim said that the ship is running on backup power, but he doesn't know why yet. If there's- If something is really wrong, then you should- You need to get somewhere safe. You should stay with the others. I'm sure that Tyke would let you play with her dogs.

[well, he isn't. but she'd let him pet them before, so maybe she'd let takeshi too. isn't that a good enough reason to go?]

Tyke? Is she nice?

Miss Mattie says I should go to the garden, but I dunno... I don't wanna run into anything bad. I have to be really careful, 'cus this might be one of the really bad games. I gotta be careful when those happen.

[he nods happily at the question]

She is. She wants to protect everybody on the ship. I can take you to her if you'd like. Or to...one of your other friends. That way I can keep you safe.

[He hesitates for a moment. Because while Castiel seems good, he's... never met this person before. It scares him a little, to face unknown, even if that unknown is just people.]

Um... If... Can you take me to the garden?

I told them I'd go there. I don't wanna make them worried.

Of course I can. I just- I don't know where your friends are, but I can help you find them too, if you'd like.

[A nod at the screen. Castiel's a good person. He played games with him, and he shows up when Takeshi thinks of his name; he's definitely good.]

Okay! I trust you.

[don't mind him. he'll just be. turning up in the kitchen now to find him, a blanket in hand. he may not feel the cold right now, but he's seen how badly some of the others are reacting to the situation they're caught in now, so he wants to make sure takeshi stays safe too.]

We should- Go now.

[There'd be Takeshi, rising from his hiding place in some cabinets. He looks up, surprisingly unscathed by the situation for his age, and reaches up to grab Castiel's hand with a gloved one of his own; despite his tougher resolve, it's... nice to know there's someone next to you.]

'Kay... Let's go.

[he offers up a smile at that, before taking off for the gardens. sorry for the lack of a warning, takeshi. and for the fact the ride can be a little...nausea-inducing sometimes.

it's only a fraction of a second before they arrive in the gardens, and castiel turns his attention toward the nearest souls to them. too bad he has no idea who they're meant to be looking for.]

[Strangely enough, he seems hardly phased by the teleporting. It might be a combination of the super special suit he has on always, and the fact that he's honestly used to being teleported around places. He squeezes Castiel's hand, though, until he realizes what just happened. He looks up at the other and pulls on his arm.]

I'll be okay here. It's safer here, right?

It should be. Just- You have to stay near the others. But if something happens, I'll come for you.

[it's something to focus on; on knowing that he can actually help someone instead of just constantly hurting people. so even if takeshi doesn't have to take him up on his offer, it helps him in return.]

You will? Promise?

[You know how kids like their promises, pal.]

'Cus if you promise, I'll come for you if I see you're in trouble, too.

I promise.

[he doesn't hesitate simply because he knows that this is one promise than he can make good on. and one that he won't get told off for making in the first place.]

You just have to call for me.

Kay. I... um. I can't find you if you think my name, but if you need help, just call me on the phone. [He holds up the network comm, proud that he sorta-kinda knows how to work it.] I'll come save you, too.

I will. [he smiles happily at that. it isn't often that people want to protect him in return, so it's a welcome change, even if it isn't an offer he wants to take up. not if it would put takeshi in to danger in the process.]

Do you think you can find your friends from here?

[He nods, looking more than certain of it.]

I'll find them. I'm good at finding people.

[Oh, and—]

Be careful, okay?

You too.

[another smile, and then he's off to finish checking the locked rooms. he'll undoubtedly be back at some point to check in on takeshi again, but he has no idea when that'll be yet.]
