Breach 001 [Video]
[The video feed clicks on in an odd little space, that may or may not be a storage closet or such somewhere in the ship. The view changes once more as a face takes over as the main focus. Please ignore the scruffy look, blood shot eyes, and slight pallor to his skin. Maintenance of this body is not a big priority with him right now as he holds up what looks like an odd sort of computer table/ipad/futuristic notebook depending on your time and era. He fumbles with it for a bit and seems to be using a finger to write something on it. Stopping and fumbling as if it’s either complicated or he can’t get his hand to move just the right way yet for the process. Or possibly it’s both, either way he finishes and turns it towards the screen showing a very alien script on it.]

[After a bit he removes it from view and looks expectantly at the camera before he decides to speak.]
Has the central command of the ship been found or explored, or even the security and communication rooms? I do not believe that these devices are the only way to broadcast messages, especially as there would need to be a way to communicate with outposts and other ships that may be sharing the same space as us. How easily defendable would we be in such a case of hostility is completely unknown at present because of these missing facts.
Not to mention chances for civil unrest as well if there isn’t a structured command in which to field any problems.
[He doesn’t elaborate on such anymore, as the real goal of the post has already been accomplished. So the feed clicks off.]
((OOC: Translation: If you can read and understand this, what is your designation and appointed field of duty?))

That would help, especially in regards to culture clashes and faction creation if it's diverse enough.
[He just blank stares at you for a moment. Then he's fumbling with the device to encrypt this small segment.]
It's the only logical conclusion considering some Decepticon shot me in the back and through my spark chamber right before this entire organic transformation happened.
[Then Red Alert talks about his death and-- Heatwave goes very quiet very suddenly. He feels...disconcerted and doesn't know why. It was war. Red Alert wasn't a friend in his universe - he was someone meant to be shot in his universe, but. This wasn't his Red Alert, was it?]
[He doesn't question that Red Alert's obviously alive, or the use of "spark" - that was one of Cliffjumper's words. It isn't the idea of death that bothers him. Instead, stiffly, and barely remembering the encryption:]
...Do you have any idea which Decepticon it was?
[That's very important, somehow.]
I'll keep a look out as well for information. Never hurts to double check and verify everything to make certain.
[His face does that lovely odd shape contouring for a bit as he thinks about it. The whole wake up process and human body has his mind still fuzzy on some details. Just not that anymore, that's clear as day again.]
A Constructicon. Which one specifically, I would not be able to tell you. Those that hopefully manage to retreat to safety are more likely to know that answer.
[He's just going to slump a little more into his closet corner.]
[Heatwave tries to connect the Constructicons he knows to the act of shooting someone in the back and mentally balks. His war didn't have non-combatants, but the Constructicons were probably the closest they might have in the sense of actually shooting someone when it wasn't self-defense, especially someone good.]
[...Different universes were obviously going to mess with his head more than he anticipated.]
I see. I'm glad to see you all right, then. Sounds like you were lucky to survive. [he pauses, noticing the slump and wanting to help.] We're lucky to have you show up here, too. It seems like we'll be needing your expertise.
[because obviously hearing that your function is useful and necessary is good comfort, right? Right? And it's not like he's lying...]
Yes, lucky I'm in an organic body, on a ship in some far flung corner of the galaxy. I failed them! I was in charge of security and they breached the city and Prime is off planet and they could all be dead because I didn't have the security system as well made as I should have.
[And he just stiffens and attempts to not freak out like that. Just because this is encrypted doesn't mean someone won't be able to hack it and use this against him. He'll just attempt to check for a hidden enemy in the small confines of his closet before looking back at you Heatwave.]
Sorry, that was unprofessional and in bad form to have done so especially on such an unsecured line when we should be focusing on here and now.
Understandable. Don't worry about it.
[Well. So much for helping Red Alert feel better. At least he said it aloud, though? That was supposed to help, right?]
[Don't be sad, Red :C]
At least -- well. We really can use your help here, I think. Nobody else mentioned shoring up the security, not for anything that could happen outside the ship, and even if the equipment's too fried to help it's something to do for the time being. I'll point you toward anyone I can find who was involved with the security discussion today.
Yes, it wouldn't do to just let this ship fall into more shambles and there are far too many lives on it that it would go against everything to not help keep such eventualities at bay. There's also the issue of the system itself. Camera placements, motion sensors, evacuation layouts. Emergency plans in case of fire or air lock breach.
I'll have to modify a great deal of my schematics to compensate for the ship design and the mostly organic population. This could take a while.
[He's forgotten about his audience for a moment, but that quickly fades and he's once more fixed on Heatwave.]
We need to get an exploration team together. To map out important areas and figure out what can and can not be salvageable in regards to immediate and long term necessity. But, yes the security team does need to be implemented, especially in regards to civil servants as military law and protocol would not go over well with most of those here with us.
[At least he's not openly depressed anymore?]
There are a lot of civilians here. [Heatwave sounds a little happy about that, as much as he does wary. One one hand: non-combatants exist again! 8D on the other: oh hjfkdsa non-combatants exist again D8]
[He claps his hands together as he'd seen Dr. Arkville do on occasion, smiling]
All right. We can see about that, then. The man I saw talking about security matters had black hair longer than mine and he was white [very pale, Heatwave means, but give him a break he hasn't learned "pale" can refer to physical features besides optic color yet] I'll see about finding out his name for you.
--Er. Where are you, anyway? [he's blinking at the camera now because. Really? Where are you? He hasn't seen a place that small since the lockers
no he hasn't checked his closet yet][Video]
So we'll have to physically look and possibly figure out a more efficient message system then face to face or general broadcasts on this network. Makes one actually miss the short wave channel frequencies.
[Awkward silence. How to do this and not potentially offend one of the few allies he has manage to get in this place, and not give up his location.]
Some random space, it's not as open and near a lot of traffic as a lot of the general usage rooms. [Because sane people don't hide in closets.
The day he does he'll likely get an odd epiphany in regards to this conversation and side eye Red for life.][Video]
[because you're seriously looking scrunched, Red.]
[Translation: No it's not meant for humans to use as Red is doing, but he can deal with the tiny space.]
All right. Just take care of yourself. It's good to meet another Cybertronian here [aka: don't accidentally do anything to lower our already pitifully small numbers, fellow Cybertronian buddy!]
